My daughter said her first word a week ago today. And it was "Da-Da." I was at work and missed it. Then the other night she said "Yeah." Then yesterday morning she said "Hi." My husband walked into the living to put her in her carseat so we could get pictures done. And saw him and said it loud. We both started to laugh. Because we don't say hi. We say hello baby. Then last night we were at my husband's mom's house. And she said "Pa-Pa" (my husband's step-dad wants to be called that instead of grandpa) And all of us just looked at her. My husband has four younger sister's and two younger brothers. And she is around them all the time. So she is learning how to talk now. But I was mad that I missed her first word. I work swing shift.
