| My little girl has always snored but here lately it has gotten alot worse she is not breathing and waking up all night . I just set and watch her until I fall asleep I really hate to take her to a specialist because I know what they will do if anyone has anything different to help I will appreciate it . |

| Hi Erin's Mom! My Son used to snore terrible, awaking consitently, and it was inevitable to have his adnoids removed, it wasn't that bad really, and he was 3 at the time. He is now 5 and has never slept better. And, you may want to try a cool humidifier in her room? Keira |

I don't know about where you live, but here we have had such a bad pollen spring!! My son is always congested...not enough to bring him in to the doc...we give him a little Pediacare for stuffy noses and it seems to help. Perhaps your child is suffering from seasonal allergies and that is why she is snoring. Of course...since your first child had the same problem and it was rectified by having the adenoids removed...that could be the same case with this child. I found a neat little gadget at Walgreen's Drug Store...it is a vaporizer made by Hall's. I believe Vick's makes one too...it uses no water, just a pad that has eucalyptus in it. It helps open the nasal passages. I would also suggest trying the saline drops in the nose before bed. I know...I hate to put those in my son's nose...he acts like I'm killing him!! But it also helps open up those sinuses!! If it continues or worsens...I would definitely take your child to see a doc about it.
Hope this helps!!
Hugs, |
