I have a breast feeding question. I have been nursing my daughter for 20 weeks and been producing plenty. The last few days I haven't been feeling well and was in the hospital today cause I have viral meningitis. So for today I can't nurse do to all the pain medication. So my husband got my pump so I could pump and dump but I am getting hardly anything. This morning before we left for the hospital I pumped a good amount. Then when I pumped at the hospital it took a while but I was able to get a good amount and now tonight hardly nothing. Could I be drying up already? Tomorrow I can go back to nursing do you think then I will be fine?
Any stresses on your body will cause your milk production to fluctuate. I say keep pumping and once you aren't ill anymore, your milk will probably come back to its normal levels. Just try not to stress over it because I think that will cause you to continue to have problems. Hope this helps!!

THanks beth. I think I was very stressed over it. Not feeling well doesn't help either. Today I didn't pump cause I can't keep my head up for long periods of time. So everytime she needed to nurse my husband or Mom brought her in and she nursed fine
