Post subject: My Baby has a Very Rare Genetic Diease
PostPosted: Mon Apr 24, 2006 9:53 pm
My son was born with a very rare genetic disease leaving him without an immune system. The disease he has is called Severe Combined Immunodeficiency. The form he has is caused by a single gene malfunction. He is currently in isolation at the Sick Children's Hospital in Toronto as we try to keep him from being in contact with any germs. So that family and friends may learn about my son Parker I keep a daily blog with Pictures.

Check out Parker's website to learn about SCID caused by an ADA deficiency. The disease normally goes undiagnosed and babies die by the age of six months after catching many infections.
