Post subject: How to tell boy or girl - folk methods?

Hi Everybody,
I have heard that there are some old wifes methods of guessing wether it is a boy or girl during the pregnancy...
Some say that if the pregnant woman gets not so pretty than this is a girl as in ... that girl is taking away some beauty from the mother. Sound silly I know.
Other was that the woman gets marsk on the face.. than this is a girl.
other one was that if the line on the belly is from pubic bone to the belly than is a boy if beyond than it is girl.
Do you know if any of this is true and maby you have heard of different one?

Gosh if thats true I hope I don't get pregnant with a boy. I could have eaten a whole cow during my 2nd trimester. My husband would sit there amazed when we went to a chinese buffet and he was stuufed and I was still going for at least another hour!

I've eaten so much during my pregnancy! I have been such a huge pig! And I'm expecting a girl! I'd hate to see how I eat if I get prego with a boy! If that is true anyway.
About the old wives tales: I've heard TONS of them. Don't rely on them, they are basically hit or miss. They are right about 50% of the time lol!
According to the old wive's tales I'm having a girl. According to the Chinese gender predicter, it's a girl. According my ultrasound, there's no doubt about it. It's a boy.

I know what the previous post means. I went and ate chinese buffet Sunday and let me tell you it was the bomb. I am pregnant with a boy and I love to eat and drink.
Here are a few sites and a quiz on old wives tales. You can do a search and find hundreds of them. I ate tons with my girl-1st-and gained all over and with my 2nd-boy-I didn't eat much more than my usual and gained just in my belly.

LMAO I took the boy or girl quiz and it told me i had a "50% chance of having a boy and a 50% chance of having a girl" LOL That is the first preg. test I have ever taken that was dead on ...LOL
