My mom lost her first baby and they really dont talk about it either. However, it is on the gravestone- I saw it one day and thats the only reason I know about it.
a. Most likely was not an std. when the water breaks and the woman is not in labor there is a very great risk of infection. My sil's water broke and she had to stay in the hospital in a disinfected room and noone was allowed to go in until she went into labor 2 weeks later.
b. I do not believe it is genetic.
c. That long ago they were very private and weird about things like that. Just how it was. As I said, my mother never talks about it. Now adays I think it is weird if they dont put its name on, but back then it wasn't.
