: Well, I might be posting a little bit more over the next couple weeks since I’m back on bedrest. I visited my OB again today and he’s put me back on strict bedrest until labor starts. :o( I’m so sad. I’ve enjoyed working the last 4 days and getting to know my students. I even asked my dr. if I could just go tomorrow to finish out the week and he said no. My blood pressure spiked once yesterday and again today. For the first time in my entire pregnancy, my fingers and feet started swelling up. He’s worried about toxemia setting in so he said it’s time to really think about my health. I’ve had a rough couple of days with very painful consistent 2 to 5 minutes contractions, but they say it’s to be expected since I just came off the meds this week. The Brethine should be out of my system any day, now, so we’ll just see what happens once things level out. I will be seen again on Tuesday and my doctor said he wants to discuss inducing next week if I haven’t gone into full-blown labor by then. We asked if we could hold it off until September 1st and he said he’d be willing to discuss it, but he also said with the bp problems, the sudden water retention, and with her already measuring at a good size, he doesn’t see any reason to wait. So keep us in your prayers as we are entering the final days.
: I just have to say that I have the sweetest DH. When the hard contractions hit he helped me creep to the bathroom in between them and he helped lower me into a warm bath. He gently massaged my back and then carefully layed me back in the tub while he gingerly applied shower gel on my tummy and felt his daughter moving all over. He stayed by my side while I tried to relax and he kept saying the sweetest things about how awesome I’ve been through this whole pregnancy and how surprised he is that I don’t complain about it. I tell you what, he’s going to be so awesome through labor—I can just tell!

Teacher, I'm so sorry that this has been so tough for you. But your doing great and once your baby gets here it will be worth every minute. Take good care and best wishes to you and DH and baby to be.
