baby's hiccups

Question:
Is there anything I can do for the baby's hiccups. Last night I felt what I believe were hiccups, the constant rhythmic jerking for the first time. But it was going on for so long. I felt sorry for him/ her . I dont imagine that it does any harm right? But I wonder if there is anything I can do about it.
