: : Lisa, I just saw your message down below about an unmedicated birth. Congratulations on the birth of your baby! I saw that you had a pelvic separation. I had one, too. Four centimeters. Would you be willing to share your story? I haven't come across too many other people who have had this happen.
: : Thanks,

: Hi Mels, sorry to butt into your post to Lisa, but I thought I'd share that I had an unmedicated birth both times. The first time, I was in labour for ever - about 36 hours of which about 15 hours was hard labour (took me that long to go from 4 to 10 cms). But I was determined to have a drug free birth and I did it. The second time I was luckier, hard painful labour was only 2 hours and about 45 mins of pushing after that. I wanted an epidural the second time, but before they could set everything up, I was dilated 9 cms - too late! So I went natural again.
: Unmedicated natural births are great - but only as long as nothing goes wrong.
: I am sure the pelvic separation must have been very traumatic for you. Particularly when a doctor dismisses your screams for help as a normal part of labour. It has obviously left scars on your mind and body. I would be even scared to get pregnant again. I hope and pray that you recover completely. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Mels.
