I don't know ANYTHING about breast pumps, but Parents magazine just came out with an Expecting issue. In it, they have a list of consumer reports recommendations for many different types of products, including breast pumps. They even talk about different types for different uses (motors vs. handpumps, etc). Maybe that might help :)
