Sally~
It's so good to hear from you. Hardly anyone is on this board anymore. It's so strange, but I still check in daily just to see if I can help, etc.
We're helping Brayla regulate her daytime/nightime hours right now so I don't have much time on the internet these days. I pop on maybe 3 times a day, but when DD wants my attention, she has it!
WOW! It sounds like your body just wouldn't go into real labor. That's so weird! I had a good friend who was induced 3 days in a row and still she wouldn't go into real labor, either--just contractions (no pain). From what I understand, the pain gets much stronger the more dilated that you are. Maybe that's why you experienced no pain. When I hit an 8 or 9 after so many hours of real labor I just didn't know if I could take it anymore. But I did, somehow. DH says it's because I'm so hard-headed. Heehee!
The C-section was so quick. I was so glad that we got her out safely, though. I can't believe she was stuck! Bless her heart! I don't know if you read the birth story to the end, but I mentioned at the very end that we are hoping for a VBAC with our next child, if it's possible. I know that thousands of women do it, so hopefully my doctor will be supportive. I now know what real labor feels like and I would do it again in a heartbeat. NO--not any time soon. I want to enjoy Brayla just as long as possible. But when the time comes, I will do it again in a heartbeat.
I finally got onto PS. I've been on there reading, but I never got my membership until a few days ago. Everyone kept telling me to move over--but with Brayla I wasn't sure how much time I would have. Oh! Don't you love motherhood!?!?
Well, I'd better run for now.
Love ya~
