Hi,
When i was your age i had the "urge" for a baby, I had a great boyfriend too. Then when i was 17 i fell pregnant, i spent my 18th birthday at home 6 months pregnant.
Nothing can prepare you into bringing a new baby in to the world, Its not all about prams and nice clothes. After i gave birth i had a shower and looked at my stomach and cried, it went all saggy and was full of stretch marks! I took my baby home and thats when reality hit me, i thought OMG i responsible for this little baby what have i done? Feeding her every 4 hours left me very tired, The crying at night was also a nightmare. Then when she ever got ill i used to be worried sick. It is an emotional rollercoster.
Being a young mother even to this day, i still get spoken to like a child. Like in my pregnancy the midwifes never had much time for me spoke to me like i was a 5 yr old. When my daughter started school the teachers were extremely rude to me and pulled me in at every given opportunity, They even said "We have free computer classes for single mums" they automatic think im a single parent because of my age.... Even this week they wrote to me saying they reported me to the education welfare because shes had 5 days of school since sept.
So in my opinion i dont recommend having babies intill your in your 20's or 30's, Enjoy life first, why spend your teenage yrs changing dirty diapers etc.?
Im 25 now i also have a 12 month old daughter and married life couldn't be better but i wish i waited intill i was older and wiser to have my first daughter.
