Good for you, Fox. My cousin just had her 3rd at 40. There was a time when people didn't conceive past about 20 years as everyone died before the age of 30. Some people just feel uncomfortable with the miracles that happen when it's outside of the "norm". Now it's said that we will having amazing life spans over the next 50-100 years and so much more will be able to be accomplished on one lifetime than every before. It looks like we're in for another big shift in such things as "maternal age". We've just started having children in our 30s and at one time that would have been unheard of (to have children after the age of 30). But if our bodies are capable of it then what does that tell you???
I will never cease to be amazed at the wonders that come along. One of my friends recently got pregnant when the scientists said it was "scientifically" impossible. You just have to laugh--conception is a miracle to begin with. The definition of science is: The observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena. Isn't that funny--all of those words to say that we're basically studying and observing phenomena.
Blessings to all,
~Teacher
