: : : my friend just had a baby shes about a month old and the baby has a yeast infection in her mouth.
: : : what would this be caused by or from and how would u treat it?

: : My baby used to get this when she was small. Im not sure what causes it but you can get cream to cure it either from your drug store or from the dr

: it is called thrush...it is white and can be bumpy..it is caused by the formula and air or dirty nipples..did she sanatize them well? my baby had it and they gave her some meds that you place in her mouth by hand.

yeah, when i was breatfeeding she never got it, it was when i put her on the bottle, my doc said to sterlize the bottles twice, as poor sterliztion can cause thrush, and to make sure the soothers are clean before they go in her mouth.
I brought some cream that tastes of oranges and put that in her mouth it cured it stright away. She never needed antiboitics as it was early thrush.
