okay firt things first........the only time in labor where you feel like you have to "poop" is when it actually comes time to push. feeling flu like symptoms is not a sign of labor at all. it is very common even after your morning sickness has passed to feel like you have it all over again.

drinking water and laying on your LEFT side will make the braxton hicks you are feeling go away.more than likely you are not getting enough fluids in your body and you are dehydrated....going to the hospital with these will only get you hooked to an IV to rehydrate you then you'll be sent home..i know i've been thre twice.

feeling lots of pressure, like baby has dropped, is a sign things are starting, but the baby can drop weeks before labor begins.

if you stiil aren't sure, talk to your doctor and hve him check your cervix..that willl at least ease your mind, hope this was helpful.
