Taking a pregnancy test the day your period is due is way too early to give an accurate result. You should always wait at leat a week after your period was supposed to start so that you have enough of the pregnancy hormones (hcg) present to give you an accurate result.
You haven't miscarried, you are probably late for another reason: stress, a change in your diet, etc. could be one of many things causing you to be late.
Also, when you are pregnant frequent urination does not usually occur until the last trimester when the baby is moving down and putting pressure on your bladder so you would never have that symptom at the beginnig of a pregnancy.
Hope this info. helps and I wouldn't worry about it. If you don't get your period in another week try testing again or go to your doctor.
Just curious-- Why would you have taken a preg. test the day your period was due??
