hi, my son is almost 3 months old and i STILL feel guilty for bottle feeding him. i had a terrible time trying to breastfeed him as it was SO painful and he was also born tongue-tied which is when the skin under the tongue is so tight that he can't stick out his tongue or move it very much. the hospital told me this is why he was having difficulty feeding such as not latching on properly and why the pain was so bad for me. i breastfed him for a week and couldn't take it anymore and so then i strictly pumped for him for 4 weeks straight and then supplemented with formula for 2 more weeks before putting him on formula permanently since i couldn't produce any more milk. we have since gotten his tongue tied problem corrected by a pediatric surgeon but at this point my milk is dried up. my question for the most part is did my baby receive most of the first most important nutrients since i did give him the breastmilk for the first 4 weeks of his life? i know i probably shouldn't feel guilty since i did the best i could but i still can't help but think he won't be as healthy as breastfed babies. please give me some advice!!
