My daughter is 6 1/2 months, and I just started finger foods as well. She prefers it to spoon feeding. I've given her steamed pears (steam about 5 minutes)cut up in small pieces, O-shaped cereal, Zwieback toast, steamed carrots, and elbow macaroni cut up in small pieces. She likes the O-shaped cereal the best because she is most successful at picking it up by herself. With the fruits and vegetables, I end up having to give her the pieces on the end of my finger because they are too slimy for her to grasp.
