I know this is a touchy subject on the board and we all have VERY different opinions, but now I am really confused. It sure as hell would be a lot easier and cheaper to get my almost nine month old to drink milk instead of formula. Everything I've read and every doctor I've spoken to (including my cousin who is a pediatrician) tell me to give baby formula until age 1. They all say that breastmilk is best for the first year, and the closest substitute to that is formula. I gave my first child wholemilk when she was 12 and a half months old. Any more opinions/ideas/information?
