I can suggest two things, one try to put him in there during the day when he doesn't have to go to sleep and try to get him to play in there, maybe play along with him, maybe he is scared of his room. Two this is what i had to do. i put up his bed he is 12 months, but anyways he sleeps in a toddler bed with a baby gate across the door. hope this helps
