: Hi Chelsea : Like the others have stated, you can wean to cow's milk fast or slow depending on how your little one takes to the taste of the milk. Many children experience a change in bowel habits when they switch over, with either constipated or loose bowel movements. This is normally and usually last for only a few weeks. : May I ask if your pediatrician gave you a reason for his recommendation to wean your son to soy milk? I would not recommend soy milk. If you type in soy and phytoestrogens into your search engine you will discover why. : Cheers Hi Rowena, Well, I don't have a great answer about why our pediatrician wants us to use soy milk. Hie response was..."I'm not a big fan of regular milk and I give my own kids soy". That's why I posted this question. I was planning on starting with cow's milk and see how ds does. I actually prefer regular milk since it is a bit easier as if we are out or at someone's house, etc. Thank you for all of the responses. Chelsea
