Convert Reg Twin bed to Crib??

I am new to the boards, so please forgive me if I have posted to the wrong board...

My husband and I spent a lot of time sanding and painting a used set of bunkbeds for our 5 yr old daughter. They now match her dresser and she loves them. Well... now we have found out we are pregnant and we don't have room for a separate nursery, so the new baby will share with KC. But the room is rather small and we would like to save floor space. Does anyone know a good way to convert a bottom twin bunk into a safe crib?
