Rowena, Thank you for the great info. I too suffered from postpartum depression with my first child and you would think with years of medical experience I would had known I had it from the start. I didn't realize I was depressed until months after when I began to feel like I never wanted to be alone, never any negative feelings toward the baby, but I always felt like I needed to be talking to people. I always felt very exhausted like I couldn't even walk or walking like a drunk, had trouble sleeping, had blurry vision, couldn't think straight. I finally realized I was a mess and had depression. Depression eats B vitamins away which aids in nerve function and vision. I went ahead and purchased injectectable B vitamins and began injecting myself once a week and would go visit neighbors, talk to people as much as I could because I did not want to take any antidepressant medications. I was able to get over it on my own. This is very common and many women don't even realize they are depressed. A recent study shows that Vitamin E 2,000 international units aids in depression.
