Hi Kelly, I don't think you are an idiot for asking those questions. We are all still learning every day. Regarding the milk, I would try to add a little bit of milk to her formula and just keep adding more every day until finally there is just plain milk. I think milk is very important at this age as the cholesterol in milk aids brain growth and supplies the calcium they need for bone growth. Good luck.

Regarding the food, I would just keep trying to cut up the food very finely or even smashed until your baby is finally comfortable with chewing. At this age, a baby can eat foods cut or chopped finely. It may take some time and may still throw it back out but it will get easier.
