I wouldn't use wipes, like the other person said, just a dampened cloth or soft paper towel. Change her frequently. I would allow as much 'air' time as possible. Maybe the vaseline is the culprit too. With my dd, everything irritates her and the quickest solution is putting nothing on it and just letting her go without a diaper as much as possible(we don't have carpet):) For some balmex, desitin, cornstarch, or oatmeal baths work. It could also be from something she is eating.
