I guess your right, at 17 months shes still a baby and don't really understand, My friend always patted her belly and said to her son its a bubba he was only 16/17 months, he never took much intrest in the whole pregnancy thing but knew mummywas having a baby.
Im sure everything will turn out fine Maybe show her the ultrasound photos and say look a baby and point to mums belly and say baby in mummys belly.
