: MY 18TH GRAND DAUGTHER STARTED EARLY TO BITE AND STILL DOES A GOOD JOB OF IT. MOTHER, FATHER, GRAND MOTHER AND OTHER CHILDREN. WILL NOT BEAT HER, NEVER SO WHAT CAN WE DO TO KEEP THOSE SHARP IVORYS OFF PEOPLE. HER FATHER SAYS SHE WILL GO AS A VAMPIRE FOR HALLOWEEN BECAUSE SHE BITS.

Hi,

My son has also bitten several times in the past, and from what I have read and heard, it is generally just a phase they go through but it is still important to tell them "No" sternly and explain to her how it hurts mommy or daddy or whoever she makes her next victim, so to speak.
I don't think being physical (hitting) would be a good form of discipline or set a good example when you are trying to discourage this type of behaviour.
