Sleep on their back or on front??

How should u put ur child to sleep on his back or front?
On the back if he vomited he could choke
On his front if the blankets went over him he woldnt be able to hit it off him.
So im confused? And if u put him on his side wouldnt it put 2 much pressure on his side? As he wont be able to turn.
