I have to admit i have smacked my daughters, My oldest would not do times out, go to her room etc the only thing thing that controlled her was a smack. i do the 123 time outs and it works wonders, i highly recommend it for older childern.

My daughter whos 13 months and shes a nightmare at times, again telling her NO and pulling away from things don't work, A smack on the hand works tho, soon as she understands i will use the 123 trick.

So smacking i agree on as a last result.
I don't belive on beating a child thats wrong, but a smack on the hand don't hurt
