My 16 month old son is the same. He doesn't mind sitting in a messy diaper at all! I change him every three hours, unless he has a poopy diaper, then I change him right away. You don't want to leave them in a wet or messy diaper too long, as Chelsea said, because of the risk of diaper rash. Best of luck! Hugs, Beth S.
