I don't have any personal stories to tell, but my sister is another story!! She has lots and lots. Anyway...one related to children and ghosts...

My nephew was very young (about 1 year old) when his paternal grandfather died suddenly. As he got older (around 4 or 5), he wouldn't sleep in his room anymore saying that "the man" was in his room again. He wouldn't sleep in that room again until he was 10 or 11 years old!! My sis thinks it was his grandfather. And not that the "ghost" did anything frightening to my nephew, but just the fact that "he was there" scared him. I wouldn't want to sleep there by myself either!! LOL!
