I worked in a hospital for several years. At his age I think he is just saying he is ready to pass on. If he has blood pooling in his abdomen that can make quite a few organs fail pretty quick. My best idea would be with no meds and all about 3-4weeks. I am sorry you are going to loss him. But you need to think about what he wants. The best thing to do is make him as comfortable as you can. I hope all goes well.
