It's ok to let a child go to sleep after hitting there head if they don't show signs of a concusion. However, they should be checked often to make sure nothing changes. It's normal for them to want to go to sleep after an accident. If I bumped my head hard, I would prob. get a headache and want to sleep it off. You can do a search on the net and find many medical sites stating this.
