: How old is your daughter? You might be able to relactate and that is ALOT cheaper if you have trouble getting enough Alimentum. I don't know about a dairy allergy though so I'm not sure if that could help but breastmilk is lactose free and very easy on the stomache. You might even be able to get some from a milk bank. Good Luck. My little Madeline is almost 3 months old. I breastfed at first (for 5 days) until we noticed blood in her stool; it turned into bloody diarrhea. She was diagnosed with the dairy allergy and put on Alimentum. I would have had to completely cut out dairy in my diet to have successfully breastfed her. Considering that I'm already on a restricted diet (vegetarian), I thought it would be just too difficult to cut out dairy as well. I somewhat regret my decision now, as I really have missed being able to breastfeed her, but at least she is healthy on the Alimentum.
