Baby is a spazzy sleeper!

Hi everyone. I am having a terrible time with my 3-month-old daughter's sleep habits. She will very easily sleep 10 hours at night without a feeding IF someone is sleeping next to her and continuously putting her pacifier back in her mouth every time she wakes a little. During the night and daytime naps, she "spazzes" as we call it, almost constantly. She is not a deep sleeper and every little noise wakes her up. And if her arm or something involuntarily moves, that jerks her awake too. We have tried putting her in her crib and letting her soothe herself back to sleep, but she hasn't figured out how to do so, and I'm not the type to just lay there and listen to my baby howl for an hour. So my husband has been sleeping with her on the couch for the past month so that he can put her pacifier in her mouth every time she wakes up, before she wakes fully and has a full-blown screaming fit and keeps us up all night. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions? We're getting desperate! Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you!
Stephanie
