Hi Stephanie! Sorry to hear you are not sleeping well, who could be with having to put the pacifier back in her mouth! I have a few suggestions (Steve's were great btw!) First, I would start by swaddling her as Steve said. Don't do this lightly though because she is obviously a lot stronger than a newborn. Make sure both of her arms are inside too. She may be a very active baby and the flailing of her arms are probably pretty scary to her right now. Second, have you tried to limit the pacifier to only night time sleep? You may want to do this because it has now become part of her sleep association. Start with the one nap during the day that she sleeps really well at. Third, have you tried to put her down for a nap in the house while the tv or stereo was on? I don't mean full blast but at least audible to whoever is watching it? We must be resepectful of their sleeping but I think teaching her to fall asleep with some noise is o.k. because YOU have things to do too! Fourth, I would also say go for what Steve said about slipping the pacifier out of her mouth once she has hit "sleep" - you know that big sigh most babies make when they are finally settled. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions or want to add to your post I will read that too. Good luck and believe me it will be o.k. Remember this: Start as you intend to go. If you don't want to sleep beside your baby every night you should discourage this soon.
