Hi, I dont know what you mean by preemies (ie. what week you went into labor), but if it was before week 36 I would go in right away. If it's after week 36, then they would not stop your labor anyway, generally speaking. If your contractions are sporadic and are not developing a pattern of rythm or closeness than I believe you have up to 6hrs. Every doctor is different, but in PA, where I go, you have 24 hrs to deliver after your water breaks. But I would definately pose this question to your doctor or midwife.

: hi, can anybody tell me, how long it is safe, to stay at home once your waters have broken, i have had 2 prem babies & was told, i'm likely to go in to preterm labour with this one, i'm 6 months pg with my 5th child,........i'm just wondering, how safe it is to stay at home once my waters have broken, ......any replies appreciated:)
