Going out with baby

Hi,

My son will be 8 weeks old on Friday. I am just not comfortable going out anywhere with him yet. He does not have a good eating schedule (which could be anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours). He screams at times even right after an apparently good feed. I am nursing him. As a result I avoid going out anywhere. When do things get better? How do I get him on a schedule?
