Not at all! I know several women and children named MacKenzie. I think it's a great name. Personally, I think it's much more feminine than masculine.

I'm 8 months pregnant right now and if it's a girl, I like Madison or Morgan. Both are unisex.

Most names that are popular now are unisex. Ignore what people say. The name is adorable.

As far as being common - at least she won't have to explain to people how to spell her name :) My one-year old daughter was almost named Siobhan (Irish pronounced Shi-vahn) but we knew she'd spend her whole life explaining how to spell/pronounce it. So we named her Taylor Siobhan instead. Taylor is a common name. If she thinks it's too common, she can always go by her middle name.

: Hello,I am new to this site and am looking for some help. I named my youngest
: daughter Mackenzie and now I worry about is being to common and masculine. Tell
: me I'm being over zealous. Everyone I meet says 'Just don't call her Mac' but I really
: find it to suit her.My older daughters call her "Mackie" and it sounds so cute coming
: from them. Thanks for listening to me vent. Take care.Bye for now!!
