My mom smoked with both me and my sister and we were both fine decent sized babies both weighing over seven pounds each. Almost thirty years ago it was cool to smoke and highly promoted. I never started smoking, but I do know how hard it would be for my mom to quit. I think it would be hard on her nerves to quit smoking, she would probably have a nervous breakdown. I wish she and my dad could quit, but they just don't seem to be able to. It kills me to think that I may lose one of them because of this addiction and I hate taking a newborn baby around it.
