: Hello. At 19 weeks I had my first ultrasound. Everything looked good and we found out it's a girl. A lady a friend of ours knows has just bought a 3-d ultrasound machine and has offered to get us in touch with her so we can have an other ultrasound only 3-d of course this time. Last time our experience was not the most pleasent as far as the technician. we would both like to do this and we'll have to pay of course but I think it would be neat. especially since by the time we do it I will be at least 26 weeks. Has anyone else ever had one? If so, what was it like? I'd also like to doubble check that it's a girl.
My son had kidney development trouble and I had 6 3-D ultrasounds during my pregnancy. It was just amazing. I could see everything. Right down to his little fingernails. The technicians gave me lots of pictures to keep. After he was born I took him back to the same place so they could check his kidneys and they got his pictures out to see if he looked similar. He did it, was quite amazing. My insurance picked up the tab, it's a bit expensive to pay for out of pocket. But if you have the opportunity, do it, it's really neat. I hope your tech is better, that makes it a very pleasant experience and they have a tendancy to show you more.
