My doctor's office closed, but if it persists I will call the emergency doctor on call. I know early labor is nothing to mess around with and I would never just not call for no reason. There are no contractions (none that I know of) and it doesn't seem to be getting worse.
I've been sick at my stomach since first thing in the morning (I had no m/s so this is all new) and then started the cramping this afternoon that put me in bed. It was also associated with diarrhea.
I read the same thing about that being a possible early sign so it had me a little worried, but it's probably just that I hardly drank ANY water yesterday. It feels like I'm a little dehydrated and I've been feeling a little better since I started downing the water. Boy! Your body sure needs it when you're prego. The good thing is that she's been very active. I've had my hardest kicks from her since I started cramping. I wonder if she feels the cramps to.
From what I've read it CAN be a sign of VERY early labor or even pre-labor. Our bodies will often cleanse themselves--like a natural enema. The book I read said that it's kinda good if it happens because it means less poo-poo on the delivery table. Heehee! That sounds so funny--but I hear it's extremely common. The book also said that they used to make all women in labor have an enema so that they didn't poop much on the delivery table. After a while they learned that a little poop never hurt anyone so they don't force you to do through that procedure anymore, thank goodness!
Anyway, I think I'm going to go get some more water and work a little around the house. Thanks for sharing your book with me!
