I was induced with all three of my girls. Luckily, I'm one of those who goes pretty fast after receiving pit. Paige was 6 hr 7 min, Cassidy was 6 hrs and Emilie was 3 hr 37 min (last Monday).
With all three, I really didn't have a choice but induction. Paige was 2 weeks late, with Cassidy, I had a heart condition and it couldn't tolerate the pregnancy much longer and with Emilie, she was laying on my ureter and shutting off my kidney.
As far as pain meds go, with Paige I had demerol and an epidural, with Cassidy I had two shots of Nubain and with Emilie I only had the epidural.
I guess I really don't have an "opinion" on natural childbirth, except that I wish my body would have worked with me instead of taking in all the drugs.
Don't stress about childbirth too much. Just remember, God gives us childbirth amnesia and you eventually forget the pain.
