Hi there! We just started Clomid and are on our first cycle with it. We should know in about a week if it worked. The chance of having twins is only 10%. The only side effect I have had so far was 2 days or so of hotflashes - nothing too bad at all. This is a pretty common side effect, as is moodyness.
Like you, my husband and I were debating wether or not to use drugs to get pregnant, but them my mom said something interesting that helped us decide. She said "you took a drug for 8 years to keep from getting pregnant (birth controll), so what is the difference in taking a drug to get pregnant". She had a point. Not sure if that little story will help you at all, but just wanted to throw it out there.
