: Nanner, I would use First Response...that is the one with the purple line right?
: First off, make sure you test with afternoon urine, not first morning urine...that will give you the result from the day before. You should use the urine from the afternoon after holding it for around 4 hours...donot drink a lot of liquid or it will only make the LH hormone less potent.
: Also, If you really, really want to pinpoint it, I would recommend you test every 12 hours. The reason is this: If you think you are missing your LH surge and not getting a complete + (i.e.) the test line darker than the ref. line...it is probably because the LH surge can actually be missed. So say you tested at 2:00 p.m. and it was close to + but not quite....then you tested again at 2:00 p.m. the next day and the test line was now way lighter than the ref. line...this is because you missed the surge. In other words...you did not actually miss ovulation because that comes 12-36 hours after a + surge, but that you just miss getting a + on the opk.
: I know this is very confusing, but if you get a close to + on your test...bd for sure. Then, the next day if it is - still bd until your test line is gone...You can still ovulate up to 36 hours after a + opk.
: Jeez, a lot of info...sorry, I just hope you can understand this...please let me know if you are totally confused or if you have questions.
: Best of luck and baby dust, Lisa
I understand what you are saying. Even if you miss the surge you can still "catch" the ovulation if your not longer than 36 hrs late. Thanks for all of your help! Wishing you the best, too.
