I've gone through the process successfully! It is a long hard road with infertility. To be honest, it sucks! But, eventually it works!
A TVU/S is a good start. Is your friend ovulating? If so, then does she get a trigger shot? If she is ovulating and not getting pg, is she having intrauterine insemination? Has she been checked for endo? PCOS? Thyroid? POF? the list goes on and on. . .
There are many women who have unexplained infertility. That means they are ovulating and their dh has a good sperm count but they are not getting pg. These women need injectibles to strengthen their chances and most likely will need ICSI or IVF.
If she is not ovulating than she needs to move past clomid and start injectibles.
