: Hey everyone! I have a question. At my last 2 appointments, one was at 12 weeks, the other at 16 weeks, I weighted 143 pounds both times. Before I was pregnant I weighted 135 pounds. The other day my grandfather got his scale out, and I got on because I was curious and I only weighted 145 pounds, and i'm now almost 20 weeks. I'm getting a belly on me, and I feel the baby move and stuff, but I figured I would have gained more weight by now. I'm not complaining, just wondering. Does this mean maybe I'll have an easy time after the pregnancy losing it? I heard if you gain more weight early on it's harder to lose afterwards. This may be an old wives tale, I dunno :) What do ya think? Thanks a bunch!
i am no gaining at all in fact i am losing. the first weigh in was 188 then 175 then 178 then yesterday it was 173. so go figure i guess. my doc got onto me about losing though cause i am 22 weeks and he said this should be the time i start to gain and not lose but i told him if you spend a majority of your time hugging the toilet what can you do? LOL try eating more fatty foods and carbs but not too much just enough to put a little weight on.
