Mels--

Blue eyes are actually considered a recessive trait in genetics. Brown are considered the dominant trait. But, the eye color is not determined by you and hubby alone--it can actually go back several generations!

I checked this out with my dad (a biologist/chemist), my brother (a chemist) and my brother-in-law-to-be (a physicist).
