It may continue to be uncomfortable for you. It's weird, some women have discomfort, and some women don't. The best thing you can do is NOT dread it. Think of any ache & pain from now on in a good way: Your exam is uncomfortable b/c your cervix is getting very, very ready. You have braxton-hicks (probably...I mean I'm assuming); that discomfort is great; it's preparing your cervix to open up. Even the discomfort down below--such as suddenly having to pee a lot again--is a wonderful sign b/c it means your baby is getting bigger & heavier all the time & is about to drop down (or perhaps is already dropping down).
So try to think of your exams in a good light, even though I know sometimes they're no picnic. At least they're fairly quick, right?
