I took progesterone supplements until my 12th week with my son. The placenta takes over the production of progesterone at that point, I was told by my doc. My son is now a year old...so I am a success story with progesterone!
I don't recall how often or how much I was taking, but I think I took it 3 or 4 times a day. I took the capsules. My doc wanted the progesterone levels to be above 20, but I don't recall the measurement (mcg or what). Perhaps your doc uses a different measurement.
